The Creative Capsule's Review and Giveaway

My daughter was thrilled to get this little box in from The Creative Capsule!

Inside was all the supplies needed to make one of their cool new "Pocket on a String".

Look how excited she is.

She really enjoyed herself. She concentrated really hard while working on it... As you can see from the picture, it's a really great fine motor activity.

We incorporated some math into this activity. We made patterns with the enclosed colored pasta. There was more than enough pasta to string on to it...don't worry about running out. We had enough to do another craft project with the excess.

The fun thing about this kit is that is has a little "pocket"that you attach on the end.

Pop the cap on & you have a nifty little place to hold your treasures. :)

So much fun! Look how happy she is! :)

She uses this every day! She likes to pretend that it's a pirate treasure and hides it in the house.

This was SO much fun to do together & very easy for children to do themselves. (Always a plus!)

It comes prepackaged in the adorable box in the first picture so it is ready to give as a gift.

The "Pocket On A String" isn't the only kit they have available. They have this cute "Monster Mate" kit. Paint & glue things on the body to create a one of a kind monster!

How cute is this "Loggerheads" Family? It's another one of the DIY kits that are available.

They also have Party Packs! No more wondering what kind of activities to do at a birthday party. The Creative Capsule includes everything you need for a fun birthday party activity.

For those of you located in the Salt lake area...The Creative Capsule is local! The offer birthday parties and more from a wide variety of themes!

The Creative Capsule is so generous to give away another "Pocket On A Stick" kit to one lucky reader!

Fresh and Organized Meal Planner Review and Giveaway

I had the opportunity to review a printable from Fresh and Organized. Monica, so graciously sent me a Weekly Meal Planner.

This is a LIFESAVER! I mean it too. Before I had this, most nights about a half hour before supper time, I'd be meandering through the kitchen trying to figure out what to feed my family. Most nights, it would be spaghetti (oh so easy) or Bupper (what my husband like to call Breakfast for Supper.) So, you know, not the healthiest meals.

However, with this planner I've come up with a system to feed my family that's not all carbs thrown together at the last minute. On Fridays, when I get all the grocery store flyers, I go through what is on sale. After I see what is priced best, I go to allrecipes.com and search recipes by the ingredients. Then I fill it in the meal planner. So easy! There is even a side bar to add your grocery list to.

I do plan on laminating my meal planner and use a dry erase marker to cut down on the amount of paper we use. We'll probably use 2 so that we can plan the next week's menus while still using the current week's.

Fresh and Organized has so much more than meal plans too! Her shop is filled with awesome printable to make your life more organized.

BlossomBatik Sun Dress Review and Giveaway

I feel so fortunate to have received this beautiful Purple Hand Painted Tie Dye Batik Tropical Floral Sundress from BlossomBatiks.

It is beyond comfortable. I love wearing it. I only wish it was still summer so I could wear it more often. I have received so many compliments on how pretty it is.

One of the best parts?

It fits all body types! After 5 pregnancies, my body is not in as good shape as it used to be. I don't normally wear a dress because I feel so self conscious in one. Not in this. It really molded to me nicely and it has adjustable straps so I can get a great fit.

I love that BlossomBatik's dresses are hand painted tie dye. This is a description of the process of making one of their dresses:

Malaysia is well-known with many heritages. One of it is a Hand-drawn batik. A design, usually floral was drawn on a white fabric with hot melted wax. Once the wax cools, it hardens and penetrates into the fabric. The colorful dyes were applied into the design and background. Next, the fabric is boiled to remove the wax. This Hand-drawn batik is really unique and truly authentic as there is no repeated design!

There are so many beautiful dresses to choose from. Here is a sampling of the dresses on their site.

Are those not gorgeous? I love them all!

BlossomBatik has also agreed to giveaway  a tie dye dress in the color of the winners choice! You are so lucky!

National Infant & Pregnancy Loss Remembrance Day

My candles are lit in Rememberance of all the babies who have gone too soon. It was amazing to see how much support was shown on Facebook today, even by women who have never experienced a loss themselves. This day is especially dear to my heart as I am remembering my 3 tonight. <3 <3 <3

Heavy Doody Review and Giveaway

I am so excited to share this shop with you!

I have the pleasure of reviewing a wet bag from Heavy Doody. The bag that I was sent is this gorgeous gray bag with a lovely pink cherry blossom print.

The wet bags have a great handle that fastens with a snap. It's been great attaching it to my stroller so when I am out and changing a diaper, it's one less thing to fiddle with while changing a squirmy toddler.

These are not just for cloth diaperers. (Is that a word?) I recently just experienced my first motion sickness accident with Camille. Totally came out of the blue. I had no plastic bags in my car! None! Thankfully, I had this bag in my diaper bag and was able to throw all the dirty clothes in there. Nothing leaked and it was a messy clean up! Even  better was that when we got home, I just dumped all the contents of the bag into the washer (bag included!). I had no plastic bag stinking up my trash can. It was pretty cool. Well you know...as cool as that situation can be. ;)

So far, I have stuffed 7 diapers and inserts in the wet bag and there seems to be room for maybe 1 or 2 more. I can definitely rely on this bag for an all day trip!

Heavy Doody bags come in a variety of sizes as well:
Large bag 16x21
Medium bag 12x16
 Kitchen bag 12x13
Small 12x13
Mini 7x6

I'm really loving the kitchen bags. Look at this. It just hangs on your oven door! Genius. I have a few wet facecloths on my sink and I think this will keep me more organized. BTW- how cute is this print?

She makes so many cute bags!

Here is a sampling of bags from Heavy Doody's Facebook page:

Who wants to see the giveaway bag????

Really??

Are you sure???

The winner of the giveaway will win this bag! It is a size Medium and it will be made soon so the pattern placement may vary a bit from what you see here. Isn't it great?

Berry Cobbler Recipe- 3 Ingredients!

I love easy recipes! This one is just that! Plus, it is only 3 ingredients! What could be better than that? (Other than actually eating it?)

Ingredients Needed

2 12 oz Bags of Frozen Berries. It doesn't matter what kind, I did a mix.
1 Box of White Cake Mix (please don't use the kind with pudding in the mix!)
1 Can of Sprite (or any other clear soda)

This recipe is SO Easy! My 5 year old pretty much made this herself. I just helped her opening the packages and putting it in & out of the oven.

First, Pour the berries evenly over the bottom of the pan. I used a 9x13 glass pan.

Pour the cake mix over the berries. Make sure to cover all the berries with cake mix.

Pour the can of Sprite over the cake mix. The soda will make a nice, crispy crust.

Then, pop the pan into the oven that has been preheated to 350 degrees. (This picture made me realize how dirty my stove is!! Oops!) Let it bake for 45-50 minutes until the top is a golden brown.

Take it out and serve warm. Preferably with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. ;)

Enjoy!

A Lucky Horse Shoe Review and Giveaway

I am very excited for the opportunity to review a vinyl wall decal from A Lucky Horse Shoe. Rebecca sent me this beautiful chandelier. I thought above my bed would be the perfect spot.

The decal came shipped in a cardboard tube so nothing was damaged on the way here. She also included an extra decal so that I could practice before I hung up the real deal.

The decals are SO easy to apply. I will admit that I was a bit nervous as these decals are not repositional, but my fears were quickly eased.

First, you need to peel the blue backing off of the decal.

Then put the decal on the wall where you want with the sticky side down. Make sure you clean the wall and make sure it's dry.

Use the included squeegee to press firmly all over the decal.

Peel the paper off starting at one corner all the way back. Pull slowly! If the decal sticks to the paper, just replace the paper and squeegee it a little more.

That's it! If any pieces are bubbled up, just smooth it down or  poke a small hole in it with a pin.

It was so easy! I definitely felt more confident working on the big decal!
I love the way it looks! For some reason, it looks very small in the picture but it's actually a great size. I also have found out that I cannot get great pictures in my bedroom. So it actually looks as if it it painted right onto the wall. It's beautiful!

A Lucky Horse Show has lots of different types of decals in their online shop. The great news? They are very reasonably priced!

This really cute set of 6 Shrinking birds Decal is only $8!

This birdcage and branch scene is $39!

This lovely Family quote  is $17!

Growth Charts are also available. They range in price but this one is $16!

Lots of things for the boys too! This personalized Football helmet is $24!

Every item in A Lucky Horse Shoe's shop is customizable! She has a large collection of colors so that you can make sure your decal matches your decor.

A Lucky Horse Shoe is giving away a $25 gift certificate to her store plus free shipping! How awesome is that?

 What will you choose???
